The ingredients needed to make Dal puri:
  1. Make ready 500 gm maida
  2. Get as required ,white oil,
  3. Make ready as per taste sugar, salt,
  4. Prepare 100 gm chana dal ,

  6. Take 1tsp Anise ,
  7. Get 1/2 tsp black cumin
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp, ,turmeric powder
  9. Take 1 tsp Green chilli,red chilli powder

Delicious and festive, it is an excellent option with any meal and. Chana Dal Puri or Dal Puri (poori) is traditional, authentic Uttar Pradesh/Bihar recipe made during Dussehra/Dasara in our home. This is called Chana Dal Puri but it's actually made as stuffed paratha. Dal Puri is a Bengali recipe which is like the normal Puri but is stuffed with Bengal gram mixture.

Steps to make Dal puri:
  1. Soak the chala dal in water for 8 hours.
  2. Drain out the water and clean it.
  3. Make a paste of it.
  4. Make another paste of green chilli, ginger, anise,hing.
  5. Take 2tbsp white oil in a pan and heat it.
  6. Add black cumin and dal- paste.
  7. Add another paste and mix it well.
  8. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sugar and salt to it.
  9. Now the stuffing is ready.
  10. Take maida, sugar, salt and white oil,water in a bowl and knead it.
  11. Make small sized dough from it and stuff it.
  12. Roll it in round shape.
  13. Take adequate amount of oil in a kadai.
  14. Keep the puries in a container. Now it is ready to serve with any kind of curry.

Notes: Rest the dough for at least one hour. Make slightly thin at the edges of the flat flour wrap. Rajasthani Dal Poori is one of the most delicious recipes of Rajasthani cuisine.
