Instructions to make Akara:
  1. Blend washed beans and pepper with a little water. The resulting paste should not be a watery consistency.
  2. Chop up onions in tiny bits and add to the paste. Pour the paste into a mortar and briskly stir in circles to aerate.
  3. Heat up oil. Drop mixed paste by tablespoonfuls into oil.
  4. Fry till golden brown on both sides. Drain on kitchen tissue.
  5. Serve with pap, garri or bread.
