  1. Soak the bean for 30min
  2. Peel off the bean skin from the seed
  3. Rinse the seed and put into a blender/food processor add onion, scotch bonnet pepper,seasoning and water
  4. Blend completely into a paste
  5. Into a frying pan and 3 cups of vegetable oil and heat
  6. Using a tablespoon scoop the batter and drop into the hot oil
  7. Fry until golden brown and serve with tea or gruel.

That's my fav breakfast during harmattan. Akara also known as Bean Balls or Bean Cakes is one of the most popular breakfast staples in Nigeria.
