  1. Heat a pressure cooker with a tbsp of ghee. Roast the broken wheat and moong dal for a minute. Pour 2 cup of water and cook for 3-4 whistles.
  2. Take another pan with jaggery and half a cup of water. Boil the jaggery until dissolved completely. - When cool, strain and keep aside.
  3. Now open the pressure cooker and add the jaggery syrup to the cooked broken wheat mix and boil until they incorporate well and gets a little thick in consistency.
  4. Now add the coconut milk and switch off the flame after the first boil.
  5. Heat the remaining ghee and roast the coconut pieces, cashews and raisins separately and pour it to the Kheer/Payasam. - Add the cardamom powder, mix well and serve hot or chilled.
