The ingredients needed to make Sarso ka saag and makki Di roti:
  1. Prepare 1 bunch spinach
  2. Make ready 1 bunch bathua
  3. Get 1 bunch saro ka saag
  4. Get 4 tbsp Maze flour
  5. Take 1 radish
  6. Prepare 1 inch ginger
  7. Take 5-6 Green chiles
  8. Take 2-3 garlic cloves
  9. Take 2 onion
  10. Take 2 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  11. Take 3-4 tbsp Ghee
  12. Take to taste Salt
  13. Get As needed White butter
  14. Get 3 Dried red Chilli
Instructions to make Sarso ka saag and makki Di roti:
  1. First take all the saag, finely chop them. Then clean them. Now in a handi. Generally earthen pot is used, but I have used alinumiium handi. Add all the saag. Add the radish, water. Then add green chiles, ginger in thick cuts and whole garlic cloves. Salt to taste. Let it cook till the saag gets cooked. It takes at least 20 min. Keep on stiring in between.
  2. Now remove it from the flame when cooked. Now use the traditional wooden smasher to smash it. At this stage add the makki ka atta little by little. And mix it with the saag.
  3. Now for the tadka. In a pan add ghee, then add dried red Chile, the remaining green chiles slit, finely chopped ginger and then the onions. Saute it till pink. Now add the saag to it. Check the salt seasoning Let it cook for another 10-15 min by covering it. Add butter to it before serving. Serve it with makki ki roti.
