Instructions to make Khaman ki sabzi:
  1. Soak chana (gram) dal for 4 hrs.
  2. Make rough (dardara) paste and keep this for over night. Along with chilli, ginger and salt
  3. Now put Khaman better in steamer and steam for 20 mins. Then cut in to pieces.
  4. Take iron kadahi. Add cooking oil. Then add cumin seed, bay leave and javitri for tempering
  5. Now add chopped onions and cook them for 3 mins
  6. Now add chopped tomatoes and cook them for another 5 mins. Keep the lid on.
  7. Check tomatoes and onions. If they are soft enough and oil oozing out. Add turmeric, salt, garam masala, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Mix well. Add little water if required and again keep lid on.
  8. Gravy is ready now add Khaman and mix well. Again keep lid for 2 mins.
  9. Now add curd, mix it, add chopped coriander and turn off the gas.
