Planked Salmon is one of the most popular of current trending foods on earth. It is appreciated by millions every day. It is easy, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. They are fine and they look wonderful. Planked Salmon is something that I have loved my whole life.

To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have planked salmon using 6 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Planked Salmon:
  1. Prepare 1 kg salmon fillet
  2. Make ready 3 tbsp brown sugar
  3. Take 1 tsp sea salt
  4. Prepare 1 pinch ground black pepper
  5. Prepare Zest of lime (optional)
  6. Prepare 1 tbsp lime juice
Steps to make Planked Salmon:
  1. Soak a cedar plank in cold water for at least one hour, longer is better!
  2. Remove any pin bones from salmon, make small incisions in flesh, you can remove skin if you wish.
  3. Mix sugar, salt & pepper (and lime zest if using) together, sprinkle over salmon, wrap in cling film for 30 -45 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 190C, when hot place plank in oven, on a baking tray, for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove salmon from cling film and place, skin side down, on plank, drizzle with any liquid, sprinkle on lime juice.
  6. Place in oven for 25-30 minutes until cooked, should be slightly pink in the middle.
  7. Serve with fried potatoes and peas or green salad.
  8. Also good with wild rice.
