  2. In a separate bowl mix all the ingredients with enough water to make a thick batter.
  3. Pour the batter into the greased pan, steam cook for 30 minutes in a pressure cooker without the whistle. insert a toothpick or a knife, if it comes out clean the kothimbir vadi is done. Keep aside to cool unmould and cut into pieces.
  4. Before serving, heat oil in a pan & shallow fry the vadis on medium heat till crisp & they change their color to brown.
  5. Serve hot with a tomato ketchup.
