Steps to make Akara:
  1. Put the beans in a mortar and add little water in it, use pestle to remove the chaff, wash away with water to remove the chaff from the beans.
  2. Add onion and scotch bonnet, blend with little water until a smooth paste is formed (the paste should not be too thick nor watery). After you've blended it, add salt and baking powder, use a wooden spoon to beat until fluffy.
  3. Heat oil, use a spoon to scoop the paste into the oil and fry until desired golden brown is achieved. Serve with pap of choice.
