  2. Take 1-1/4 pound green / raw peanuts

  1. Bring the 3 quarts of water to boil add half the salt and 1/4 cup of liquid smoke. Add peanuts and cover.
  2. Crush the peppercorns
  3. Add pepper to the peanuts
  4. Boil the peanuts for 3-1/2 hours. Add water as needed. Add the rest of the salt and liquid smoke.
  5. Stir and check water level often. Test a couple of peanuts for saltiness and tenderness.
  6. Serve when the peanuts are done like the texture of done pinto beans.
