The ingredients needed to make Toffee Sauce:
  1. Prepare 110 grams butter
  2. Make ready 250 grams light brown sugar
  3. Get 275 grams golden syrup (corn syrup)
  4. Make ready 225 ml double cream (heavy cream)
  5. Make ready 1/2 tsp vanilla extract or salt (vanilla goes best with fruits. salt goes best with chocolate)
Steps to make Toffee Sauce:
  1. put all ingredients in order into a pan and stir until melted. boil for 4-5 minutes
  2. remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes. The sauce will still be incredibly hot so no dipping fingers yet
  3. sterilise 2-3 jars and pour in sauce. store in a cupboard. If it hardens too much when cooled, warm slightly
