Hello everybody, hope you’re having an incredible day today. Today, we’re going to make a distinctive dish, ogbonno soup. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I’m gonna make it a little bit tasty. This will be really delicious.

Ogbono Soup also known as Draw Soup makes eating Fufu Recipes so easy because of its slimy nature which helps the lumps of fufu slide down. I am still on my 'meals on a budget' series and this is the final week of the series. In this video I am showing you how to make a very mouth-watering pot. Ogbono soup, is a Nigerian igbo dish made with ground dry ogbono seeds (the local name for Irvingia) with considerable local variation.

Ogbonno soup is one of the most favored of recent trending foods in the world. It’s appreciated by millions daily. It’s easy, it is fast, it tastes delicious. Ogbonno soup is something which I have loved my entire life. They are nice and they look wonderful.

The ingredients needed to make Ogbonno soup:
  1. Take Assorted Meat and Fish: Beef, Shaki (cow tripe), Dry Fish,
  2. Make ready 3 cooking spoons palm oil, Pumpkin leaves
  3. Prepare 2 tablespoons ground crayfish Pepper and Salt (To taste) 1 onion

Chop spinach or bitter leaves and add them to the ogbono soup just before you serve it with fufu or pounded yam. Ogbono soup (Draw Soup) is a rich, nutrition-packed Nigerian soup made from ogbono seeds (ground African mango seeds), palm oil, assorted meats, and traditional spices. Instructions to make Ogbonno soup:
  1. Pour the palm oil into a clean dry stainless steel or aluminium pot. Set on the stove and melt the oil at low heat. Remember, only melt the oil, do not allow it to heat up. Once melted, turn off the heat and add the ground Ogbono.
  2. Use your cooking spoon to dissolve the Ogbono in the oil.
  3. When all the Ogbono powder has completely mixed with the oil, add the meat/fish stock (water from cooking the assorted meat and fish). Set the heat of your cooker to low and start stirring. You will notice the Ogbono start to thicken and draw.
  4. Add a small quantity of the hot water and stir till the Ogbono has absorbed all the water. Repeat this process till you get a consistency that is shown in the video below.
  5. After 20 minutes, the Ogbono should be well cooked and you will begin to perceive its nice flavour and aroma.
  6. When the contents of the pot have heated up, add the vegetable allow to cook for 2minutes and take off the stove. Serve with garri or any swallow
